C-EYE-5 with Scratch Horns

This is one of those lovely charity nights where you get to support a good cause and have a great time. Two great bands for just £5.00 (£7.00) All proceeds go to Cancer Research so please show your support.

C-EYE-5 will be performing at The Brook on Saturday 23rd September with the mighty ‘Scratch Horns’.

Apart from being a very fun evening to celebrate a couple of landmark birthdays in the band, we are taking the opportunity to raise some money for Cancer Research UK. Tickets will be £5 each, in advance or £7 on the door, with all proceeds going to the charity. Looking forward to seeing everybody from ‘back in the day’ and also all our new friends who have yet to hear us play. Oh you lucky people.

C-EYE-5 were a local band that played together for nearly 10 years before finally going their separate ways in the early nineties. Most of the original band members are still very active on the local music scene and those that aren’t have been coaxed out of retirement on two or three occasions in the past when the band have re-formed for special events.

There has been talk for some time of reforming to mark two landmark birthdays in the band this year. When the Bass player also then lost his sister to Breast Cancer the band decided to put on a concert to raise some money for Cancer Research UK. So, in true Blues Brothers style, for one night only, the boys are putting the band back together!

Furthermore, they will be joining forces with Skratch Horns to perform a set of Rock and Soul numbers. All ticket proceeds are going to Cancer Research UK in support of Breast cancer research.  For more information please visit the band’s Facebook page www.facebook.com@ceye5

The band have been really pleased with the support they have received so far and are looking forward to seeing everyone from ‘back in the day’ as well as some new faces too. It promises to be a very fun evening for all and will raise some money for a worthy cause as well.
