The Easy Star All-Stars began as a studio ensemble when Michael G and Ticklah were producing and recording the music for Easy Star Records' debut CD, Easy Star Volume One. With each successive recording, the two principal All-Stars worked with an ever widening group of musicians to help flesh out their visions. After the release of Dub Side of the Moon, there was intense demand to have the group tour, thanks to the record's instant success. Ticklah was already committed to touring with one of his other projects (the critically acclaimed Afrobeat revivalists Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra), so Michael G called on many of the musicians they had been working with to make up the touring version of the Easy Star All-Stars. For the first outings, this included saxophonist/flautist Jenny Hill, vocalist Kirsty Rock, drummer Ivan Katz, keyboardist Jeremy Mage, bassist/vocalist Ras Iray, and trombonist Buford O'Sullivan. Completing the group was dub engineer Dave Hahn (also the leader of up-and-coming reggae act Dub Is A Weapon). This line-up debuted in July 2003 and earned rave reviews during a three-week tour of the East Coast that Fall.
In 2005, The Beat Magazine said about the All-Stars performance at the Long Beach Ragga Muffins Festival: "Performed live, the music not only held up well but absolutely soared, thanks to the All-Stars' supremely skilled and tight lineup of singers and players. Hearing such familiar songs as "Breathe," "Money." "Us and Them" and "Brain Damage" played onstage inna true reggae style brought a kind of hypnotically giddy feeling. Subdued but clearly awestruck, the crowd hung on every note, every word. The Easy Star crew was a very tough act to follow..... |

Like the Autumn season itself, their music has a romantic, organic quality and are a rare naturalness, but it also combines elements of sheer power and intensity. The songs seem to grow into life rather than emerge as the work of a laboured writing process. They have recently won "best band", "best track", best classic rock gig", "best guitarist", and "best vocalist" in the international "Classic Rock Society" awards, voted for by the public. After signing a major record deal worth over 1.2 million with "Classic Rock Productions" two years ago they have repeatedly played sold out concerts in Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Norway, New Jersey, Mexico and all over the U.K. After an amazing 3 years with Classic Rock Productions, both parties decided that Mostly Autumn should be set free and on 4th June 2005 The New Astoria, London saw the launch of Mostly Autumn Records, and a live recording of this gig 'Storms over London Town' was released early this year. They are currently writing and recording their latest (6th) studio album 'Heart full of Sky' which will be on general release next February 2007. A limited edition double album is available to pre-order now and will be pressed late November or early December this year. The Wonder StuffSize up your cows! |

In an era of celebrity obsession and surreality TV excess, The Wonder Stuff have stripped back the groove machine to basics and come up with a record that bears all the hallmarks of the musical genius that made them one of the biggest bands of the Nineties. Leading the battle charge are founder members Miles Hunt (vocal/guitar) and Malcolm Treece (guitar/vocals), ably assisted in the trenches by former RDF bass man, Mark McCarthy, New York rockers' Love In Reverse drummer Andres Karu and new recruit Erica Nockalls on fiddle ("her audition lasted two minutes"). Notching up almost a hundred gigs with this line-up before one foot was set in a studio, the new record is a sharp re-focus: "We wanted to write and record something brutally simple rather than something clever," explains frontman Miles. Suspended By Stars has every element that The Wonder Stuff are famous for – biting lyrics, killer tunes, lacerating energy – but it is so much more than the sum of its parts. If ever a band has re-evaluated, stepped back and returned with a vengeance, this is it. Recorded partly in New York at the close of a 35 date American tour, but mainly in the Midlands, The Wonder Stuff headed into the studio as a thunderous live band first and foremost; the album's visceral power was perfectly captured by producer Matt Terry and the legendary mixer Paul Tipler (80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Frank Black, Elastica). "We all stayed at Matt Terry's house, sleeping on couches and sharing the same beds. Twenty years ago we were travelling around in the back of a van, revelling in our gang mentality, juvenile humour and in-jokes – all the best bands are gangs and that's how we felt when we slunk into that studio with Pat Collier in 1988 … and that's exactly how this new record and line-up feels too." Not satisfied with issuing this blistering new collection, The Wonder Stuff have composed and performed all the music for a blockbuster new animated children's series, Underground Ernie, currently being aired on BBC2. Widely expected to take over the mantel of Thomas The Tank Engine, Underground Ernie is set on the London Underground featuring talking tube trains and the main character, Ernie, voiced by Gary Lineker. One episode features a Brummie busker who bears an uncanny resemblance to Miles Hunt … Having completed a 3 week UK tour in March the band play numerous festivals throughout the summer before hitting the road again through November and December. |

During the past twelve months, The Saw Doctors have toured non stop in Europe, USA, the UK and Ireland promoting their new album cd entitled The Cure. The Galway band made four trips to the USA , selling out the Nokia Theatre in Times Square, New York and headlining the Governors Inauguration Ball in Baltimore , Maryland.
Last summer, The Saw Doctors played every Festival from Shetland to Dubai and back again for the V Festivals in Essex and Staffordshire. In November, The Saw Doctors turned up in Celtic Park, Glasgow, playing three songs before the Manchester United versus Celtic Champions League match Now in their nineteenth year as a touring band, The Saw Doctors revolve around the songwriting partnership of Davy Carton (Vocals) and Leo Moran (Guitars). The Saw Doctors came together in Tuam, Co. Galway in 1988 when Leo Moran, realising that the potential for Irish reggae was somewhat limited, quit Too Much For the Whiteman, and got together with Davy Carton after his punk band Blaze X disbanded , despite the fact that their first single "Some Hope" was chosen as Single of the Week on Irish radio. Success came early for The Saw Doctors – their second single, I Useta Lover, went to Number One in Ireland in September 1990 and was still Number One that Christmas. The Saw Doctors then re-released their first single N17 and on the back of I Useta Lover's success, N17, which was produced by Mike Scott of The Waterboys, went to Number One. The first album, If This Is Rock and Roll, I Want My Old Job Back, was Number One for most of 1991. After picking up a lot of Irish press and entertainment awards in the early ninties and posting a second Number One album (All The Way From Tuam), The Saw Doctors set about touring the UK and in February 1996, the band's third album "Same Oul' Town" went to Number Six in the UK Top Twenty, yielding two Top Twenty UK singles, World of Good, and To Win Just Once. The Saw Doctors appeared on Top of the Pops in January and July 1996 to promote the two singles. "From country to punk to pop and rock'n'roll", explains Leo Moran on their success, "we stole all our favourite bits". In April/May 1997, the Saw Doctors undertook their first major coast to coast US tour and as a result landed a US record deal with Paradigm Records in New York. The compilation album, Sing A Powerful Song, was released in November 1997, prompting Geoffrey Himes to write in The Washington Post "the Saw Doctors are one of the world's most appealing roots-rock outfits" ….in "To Win Just Once" they have crafted an anthem for the losers of the world". Songs From Sun Street, the Saw Doctors fourth album was released on both sides of the Atlantic in 1998. The album release was celebrated in the UK with a sell out show at London's Royal Albert Hall. In America, the Saw Doctors headlined the American Fleadh concerts with Van Morrisson and Sinead O' Connor. At the Fleadh in San Jose (June 99), they had the crowd "jumping like human pogo-sticks" according to the San Jose Mercury News. In a Saw Doctors' song, you'll listen in vain for the usual swaggering rock cliches about life on the road, drug problems and easy sex. Instead, continuing the tradition of all-time greats from Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams, their songs range from bringing in the harvest, to running away to join the army; from the plight of Ireland's unmarried mothers to the effect of strong religion on a nation's youth; from playing gaelic football against a neighbouring village to loving the prettiest girl in town but lacking the courage to tell her. During 2000, The Saw Doctors spent most of the year writing and recording their fifth studio album, Villains?, working with programmer and producer, Giles Packham. Villains? was released to critical acclaim in October 2001. Craig Harris noted in the Boston Globe "with their latest CD, Villains?, a hook-laden mix of rock, pop and traditional roots, the Saw Doctors assume their place next to U2, The Pogues, and Thin Lizzy as one of Ireland's great rock bands". In July 03, Tyrone Productions (Riverdance Producers) filmed a one hour documentary on the Saw Doctors and the documentary "A Different Kind Of World" along with a 80 minute concert that was recorded at a live show in Galway, was released on DVD and CD in March 2004. The DVD and live both entitled Live in Galway were launched at a sell out show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. Over the years, The Saw Doctors have built up a reputation as a great live band. They have toured in Australia, Canada, USA, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Norway and the UK. Paul Sexton of The Times in London observed that "if they could bottle the sort of bonhomie that can make an entire concert hall feel better, The Saw Doctors would have the medicine show to end them all". The Bon Jovi Experience are the worlds first and finest tribute to the Great Bon Jovi and features Jon Bon Jovi clone frontman Tony, (Jon By Jovi), accompanying him are 3 other ex By Jovi members, namely Jon (Tico) drums, Rob (Hugh) bass and Chris (Dave) keyboards, having left the now Defunked By Jovi. With Edd, (top Richie Sambora Guitarist,) in place, together they produce the looks and sounds of the real thing so closely that, i quote: "you could almost be fooled into thinking that this band was the real thing" and "quite simply a mirror image of the man himself". Tony has been performing the music of Bon Jovi for over ten years now and the band were the first to be asked to perform on the Us New Jersey Tribute Album, "Garden State Of Mind". He is the Only Uk Bon Jovi tribute band frontman to actually be asked to Appear On Channel 4's Big Breakfast Show with the real Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora but was unable to do so due to committment to shows already booked in The Middle East. They were told recently by Radio 1 Dj and tv personality Chris Evans that "they were the best tribute band he had ever seen" and have also been asked to appear live on Chris's show in the future. the band has a significant fan base not to mention Tonys various tv and film appearance's, (itv's International Stars & Their Doubles hosted by Dale Winton, bbc's doctors series and british Film Kinky Boots.). Tony recently attended a couple of Bon Jovi shows himself and was actually mobbed when he was mistaken for the real Jon Bon Jovi by hundreds of screaming Bon Jovi fans and official photographer's asking for autographs and pictures. Chad Kroeger, frontman with Bon Jovi's guest band Nickelback, even picked Tony from the forty thousand strong crowd and said, i quote, "have you seen this guy he's that much like Jon Bon Jovi its freaky man" then had his own photographer take pictures of him, as a result Tony has been the topic of conversation on the official Bon Jovi website from people asking who he was, an honour that no other Bon Jovi tribute band frontman has ever gained. Then, on monday 13th november 2006, tony and the band recieved the ultimate accolade when they were requested by Bon Jovi to perfom live at the hard rock cafe in london for the celebrations surrounding Bon Jovi's induction into The Uk Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame. During this performance Jon Bon Jovi himself joined Tony and the band on the stage and performed the song 'Who Say's You Can't Go Home.' to the delight of the sell-out 'backstage with Jon Bon Jovi' fanclub audience of die hard fans. yet another honour that no other Bon Jovi tribute band has ever received… from touring all over the world, (every major city & town in the uk,The Channel Islands, Malta, Holland, Spain, Ireland and the very first Bon Jovi tribute to tour the Middle East to name but a few!) The band have seen many sell out shows with wild reactions from the crowds and with a full tour schedule for 2006 / 2007, the boys are no strangers to living the rock n roll dream. so if you enjoy stadium rock at its best this is definatley a band not to be missed. |

For a huge army of fans around the world, the classic line-up of Whitesnake which
recorded albums such as 'Ready An' Willing', 'Live
In The Heart Of The City' and 'Come An' Get
it' was the definitive rock band of the late 70s and early 80s.
There is something unique about the combination of musicians who built Whitesnake's success
that cannot be replicated, and the songs that they wrote and recorded together
are still incredibly popular. The bluesy twin guitars of Bernie Marsden and Micky
Moody, together with bassist Neil Murray, are back
together in a new band, M3 - Classic Whitesnake, to perform
the songs that took Whitesnake to the stadiums of the world.
They are joined by well known guest musicians, including the incredible vocals
of Stefan Bergrren, best known for his work with Company of
Snakes and Snakes in Paradise, Jimmy Copley on drums from Paul
Rodger's and Tony Iommi's band and on keyboards Mark Stanway (Magnum,
Grand Slam) among others. Rock anthems like 'Ain't No love
In The Heart Of The City', 'Here I Go Again', 'Don't
Break My Heart Again' and 'Fool For Your Loving' are
just some of the many classic Whitesnake songs that M3
- Classic Whitesnake perform, with full audience participation expected!
The concept behind M3 is to build on the foundations of the
original Whitesnake members by experimenting with other top
players, including guest appearances from other early contributors to the Whitesnake story
(they were joined on stage by Don Airey in London, earlier this year). The touring
band consists of: Bernie Marsden (guitar/vocals) was a founder
member of Whitesnake but his career also includes stints with UFO, Wild Turkey,
Cozy Powell, Babe Ruth, PAL, Alaska, Moody Marsden, and recently the Company
of Snakes. He has done song writing, production and session work for many acts,
and outside of M3 Bernie leads his blues band, Big Boy Blue.
Micky Moody (guitar/vocals)is best known for his role in the definitive Whitesnake line-up, though his vast and varied career has included working with Juicy Lucy, Snafu, Graham Bonnet, Frankie Miller, Chris Farlowe, Roger Chapman, Moody Marsden Band and Company of Snakes. Neil Murray was also an original member of Whitesnake, playing on 8 albums and many tours, and is one of the most experienced bass guitarists in rock, recording and touring with bands and musicians such as Brian May, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, Company of Snakes and Peter Green just to mention a few. He also is in the band for the hit musical We Will Rock You. Stefan Bergrren (vocals) was the awesome voice of Company of Snakes and Snakes in Paradise during the late 90s. Stefan has been compared with iconic vocalists such as Paul Rogers. Jimmy Copley (drums) is a fantastically powerful and funky drummer who is best known for touring and recording with artists such as Paul Rodgers, Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan and Jeff Beck. In the words of Bernie, "Jimmy drives the band like no other drummer since Cozy Powell or Ian Paice. He is exceptional." Mark Stanway is the keyboard backbone to long established prog-rockers, Magnum and during the 1980's he regularly topped 'best keyboardist' polls, coming third to the likes of Jon Lord and Don Airey. Listen to M3 live with your eyes closed and you would be forgiven for believing you were listening to Jon Lord and Ian Paice on stage with the M3 boys! M3 will also be promoting a forthcoming live DVD recorded in the summer of 2004, featuring both Stefan and Doogie White (ex-Rainbow singer) on vocals. This an an existing live album will be available from the bands website. Do you have iTunes? Then Click here for a preview :: |

to dance the night away with the band who make every gig a party night!
Those that have followed the band will know that the Rufus Stone Soul Band, based in their home town of Southampton, has been around in many guises since their start in late 1984. After all this time you would expect that some of the sparkle would have gone, not a bit. They still have the same distinctive sound, which ensures that they get the maximum involvement from their audience. Over the years they have built a loyal following and it is this support that has kept the band not only on the road but still as soulful as when they started. The music is authentic soul with selections from The Blues Brothers and The Commitments, but the bulk of the set comes from the soul greats such as Otis Redding, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Joe Tex and many others. During their time together there have been a number of highlights that include support to some of the top soul artists like Jimmy Ruffin, Edwin Starr, Curtis Mayfield, Geno Washington, Ben E King, and Gloria Gaynor. |

The Daily Telegraph. There seems to be two different methods employed by tribute bands in copying their heroes. One is to immerse themselves totally in character, become the band. The other is to still do this, but do it with tongue very much in cheek. So how to interpret the greatest pop group of all time? The Silver Beatles go for option B, not taking themselves too seriously and this approach definitely works for them. They indulge in banter among themselves and with the crowd, making the most out of the fact that every Beatle is instantly recognisable. The first half of the gig is the young Beatles, suits and mop tops, covering all the early hits; 'Saw her standing there, Can't buy me love' among others before finishing on 'Twist and Shout'. Then it's a quick break and costume change where they miraculously transform into the older, hippie era Beatles; the period where they wrote some of their finest songs. Just point non-believers to songs like 'In my life' and 'Let it be' which show, more so than the early years, why the Beatles are still held in such esteem. Not that anyone here needed convincing. The 500 plus crowd, arms held aloft, nah-nah-nah-ing during the encore of 'Hey Jude'. Nope, no non-believers were present. Review by Thomas Christie |

The band have been performing live concerts to thrilled audiences for over 10 years and have earned the reputation as Europe's Leading Tribute to Blondie and Debbie Harry.
The Easy Star All-Stars—named the 13th best selling reggae act of 2003 by Billboard—are a collective family of some of the finest reggae musicians in the New York area. The band features a rotating cast drawn from a talented pool of players, meaning that every show has its own nuances and its own life. The masterminds behind the All-Stars are Easy Star musical director Michael Goldwasser (a.k.a. Michael G), his production partner Victor Axelrod (a.k.a. Ticklah), and his two Easy Star label partners Eric Smith and Lem Oppenheimer. These four were the team behind the album Dub Side of the Moon (2003), which was a complete reggae revisioning of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. That record has sold over 70,000 copies to date, making it one of the most successful reggae albums of the 21st century. It continues to sell, having just completed its 94th week on Billboard's Top Reggae Chart.
In 2004, the All-Stars—in any combination of members—were a resounding success. The band played at major festivals such as Northern California's Reggae On The River, Providence's New England Reggae Fest, and the U.K.'s Big Chill. They headlined their own shows in California (netting a cover story in the Metro Santa Cruz along the way), sold out shows in England, and played special one-off appearances in Miami, DC, Baltimore, Charlottesville (VA), and the Hamptons.
Mostly Autumn are a seven piece band from York and have been formed for over nine years playing music that has been described as organic emotionally charged rock with Celtic undertones. They are hailed as the band rock fans have been waiting twenty years for. The amazing seven-piece have all the hallmarks of the great bands from the seventies – there are echoes of Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Genesis and all of the greats, but the sound is unmistakably their own.
The eight-legged beast that first crept around Britain's seedy venues twenty years ago and finally surfaced as The Wonder Stuff is back – only this time with an extra pair of legs and a scorching new album. A gestation of eleven years since the band's last studio album gave us 2004's Escape From Rubbish Island, but with a new recruit and a reignited fire in the belly, The Wonder Stuff have pulled off a genuine return to form to produce February 2006's striking new album, Suspended by Stars.
The
debut SAS album features artists who collectively have appeared on many
(many) number one hit songs, including:
Chris Thompson, Tony Hadley, Kiki Dee, Roger Chapman, Roger
Taylor, and Madeline Bell. Featured musicians include Ian Anderson, John
Deacon, Peter Green, Cozy Powell, Jamie Moses & Charlie Morgan.
Tracks were recorded at Black Barn Studios in Ripley over
a two year period, where the complex process of melding the prolific array
of talent into an album was finally completed in April 1998.
The album is based on a 'half original/half cover' format.
Originals include the writers version of Chris Thompson's classic composition
'You're the voice', already a hit for John Farnham, and 'Original sin'. Covers
include epic arrangements of classic songs like 'That's the way god planned
it', 'The Name of the Game', and 'Didn't I blow your mind this time.'
Time
to dance the night away with the band who make every gig a party night!
Make
me smile (come up and see me), reached number one in 1975 in the UK and
many European countries and is regularly voted among the top singles
in the history of the charts, which covers six decades of releases.

"...Cover bands are big business these days, but this quartet are clearly a cut above most with suits, mop-tops and jerking stage manoeuvres all in place as they blast out 'From Me To You', 'Roll Over Beethoven' and 'Please, Please Me' with note-perfect aplomb."
"2 tonic arrived on stage and lifted the atmosphere up a few more notches until at one stage it seemed as though every person in the room was dancing at the same time. Even the people stood around the edges seemed to be bouncing up and down, whether they wanted to or not. Humberside seismic investigators later recorded a disturbance registering 3.2 on the Richter scale."
